Communication, specialized service and effective claims management are key objectives for the Midwest Builders’ Casualty Claims Department. By maintaining a lower than industry average caseload, each claims adjuster has the time to effectively respond to claim developments. Because our adjusters are servicing specialized industries, they are educated on several key areas that impact claim costs and ultimately the Experience Modification Rate (EMR).
Loss Control Services
As a specialty market, Midwest Builders’ Casualty offers expertise and insight that provides enhanced support to our policyholders. We understand that each industry has unique challenges, and our goal is to provide assistance that offers sensible and safe solutions to policyholders. Our Recognize Safety program acknowledges and rewards companies and individuals who demonstrate a higher commitment to safety and risk management.
Each policyholder is assigned a designated
claims adjuster and loss control representative.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES WE PROVIDE
Oral Fluid Drug & Alcohol Testing
A cost effective and time-saving alternative to traditional clinic drug and alcohol testing. Through a partnership with Midwest Builders’ Casualty, policyholders can obtain oral fluid drug and alcohol testing kits that can conveniently be conducted anywhere. The test is non-intrusive, compliant and portable for any jobsite.
24/7 Nurse Hotline
Midwest Builders’ Casualty offers all policyholders a free 24/7 Nurse Hotline to assist with post-accident medical care. The 24/7 Nurse Hotline is staffed by licensed nurses who speak directly with the injured employee and determine if the injury is work-related. If medical care is required, the nurse will provide direction to the nearest in-network medical facility.
Midwest Builders’ Casualty has partnered with a nationwide provider that assists employers with establishing Post-Offer Employment Testing (POET). This program eliminates expensive implementation fees and policyholders receive competitive pricing for the POET exams.
Midwest Builders’ Casualty offers policyholders free online safety training. The Online Training and Information System (OTIS) enables policyholders to conduct consistent safety training and new hire orientations, regardless of location.
Transitional Duty Program
Light duty work provides numerous benefits to both the injured employee and the company, yet this type of work may be limited. Midwest Builders’ Casualty has a Transitional Duty Program that uses outside resources to locate light duty work with charitable organizations in a specific territory.
